Our strategy
“A dynamic Switzerland needs an equally dynamic postal service.”

The strategy is based on Swiss Post’s traditional strengths. The Swiss Post of tomorrow strategy, which was written in 2020 with a horizon of 2030, will continue in the years 2025 to 2028 and be adapted to the changed circumstances within Swiss Post’s environment.

As before, the priority is Swiss Post’s core competency – the reliable transport of goods, information, people and values. By developing and expanding its range of services, Swiss Post is strengthening its positioning in all four markets. Wherever possible, it is growing based on its own resources, and wherever necessary, it is supplementing its expertise with help from acquisitions and partnerships. In this way, it is establishing the core business of the future. At the same time, it needs to modify or discontinue services in areas where demand is falling away. For this reason, it is investing further in its network of access points and converting additional self-operated branches into alternative, customer-friendly formats. It is making its customers’ needs even more central to its strategy and connecting the physical and digital worlds. As such, it will continue generating reliable added value in the years ahead, with the aim of financing a modern public service and the necessary investments and innovations from its own resources. Swiss Post also takes its social and ecological responsibility seriously. This is the only way it can stay relevant to the population and Switzerland as a whole in the future.

Swiss Post’s strategy is divided into five areas of activity and seven strategic ambitions
