Chapter 1: The strange e-mail

Nobody is safe: suspicious links, fake news and manipulated websites. The number of internet fraud attempts is constantly increasing, and fraudsters are getting cleverer and more professional. Even Little Red Riding Hood received a strange e-mail – what’s going on?

Summary: Keep your eyes open on the Internet! Spot phishing and other attempts at fraud with these tips

Chapter 2: What are bounties? Something sweet?

Since the phishing attack, Little Red Riding Hood is unsure if she should keep doing so much online. Fortunately, the huntsman and her grandmother are able to explain information security to her. Swiss Post places the utmost importance on protecting digital data. This begins right from the time we develop the software, long before you as a customer can use our apps or services. To protect your systems, Swiss Post carries out multi-level tests and monitors operations 24 hours a day. But there’s more.

With Swiss Post’s bug bounty programme, ethical hackers can test our online services to their very limit. They even get rewarded for it! Depending on the severity of their findings, hackers can receive bounties of up to 10,000 francs, or even up to 250,000 francs in the case of the e-voting system.

Chapter 3: The secret computer code

In Neuchâtel’s cryptography center, our teams are developing IT solutions that handle and transmit sensitive data and therefore have to meet the strictest of security requirements. These include the e-voting system and electronic patient records, for example. In order to make this sensitive information more secure, Swiss Post uses encryption processes. But what does that mean exactly? The huntsman explains to Little Red Riding Hood.

On our open day, you can visit our workshops where our specialists will explain the basics of cryptography to you. Best of all: you don’t need any prior knowledge and don’t need to register!

Can’t wait? Then test your knowledge in this short quiz (in French).
